Michael Aird

Michael leads our AI grantmaking. Michael joins us from the RAND Center on AI, Security, and Technology, where he is an associate director. He joined its predecessor in its early months and helped the centre grow to 100+ people. He is also an affiliate at the Centre for the Governance of AI, an advisor and cofounder of the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy, and a board member at the MATS Program. He was previously a Research Scholar at the University of Oxford’s Future of Humanity Institute.
